After a year working on The King Stone project (2025 - 2026), it's time to say goodbye!

My role was Associate Producer, focusing on bringing the community engagement work on The King Stone to life. This included the audience care pack, attendance by mental health organisations along the show, organisation of Q&A and developing a mental health awareness bench installation that was co-created with community groups. I interviewed four key mental health advocates and produced their personal stories that were accessed via headphones within the bench installation.

The King Stone play is written by Charlotte East and directed by Hannah Stone.

Over 35 people have contributed to the community engagement and audience care that has surrounded the work on The King Stone production, and it goes to show how this work only comes together with strong partnerships and sharing resources.

The show and the mental health awareness Talking Bench have reached so many people across the Midlands, and I feel very proud.

I'm pleased to say that the bench installation has a legacy, being donated to the Chesterfield Hub!
